Register an Account
The VirtuaLAN service is not a public service, and is reserved for use by regular members of the KendallCon Community Discord. All registrations are handled manually, and the following criteria will be evaluated by staff members upon requesting a user account:
- Regularity of activity in Discord server
- Length of server membership
- Reputation amongst trusted community members
KendallCon reserves the right to exclude any member from this service on any basis. Use of this service is a privilege, not a right.
If you have not registered for an account, but can see the #virtualan channel in the community Discord server, you are eligible for account registration.
To register a VirtuaLAN account, simply send a Discord DM to @flannel#5431 requesting an account, including your desired username. If approved, you will be sent your server credentials and the server’s public certificate as files (in a 7-Zip archive):
- The
VLU-<username>.p12file is your public and private key (where<username>is your specified username). - The
VirtuaLAN-SRV.crtfile is the server’s public key certificate for identification.
Do not lose these files; do not disseminate these credentials to anyone other than yourself.
Registration process may be automated in the future; this documentation will be updated if such a system is implemented.
